Next in our back-to-school series is Franky—the very first baby born at what is now Kay Akouchman! 💛
Franky is now in our Family Support Program. He has finished Grade 8, will soon start Grade 9, and dreams of becoming a psychologist.
Through our back-to-school fundraiser, we’re raising money to cover school fees, uniforms, books and supplies for Franky and the other children in the program.

Meet Manita — future pilot. ✈️💛

For 10 years, Olive Tree Projects has been part of Manita’s journey, supporting her education, her health and her wellbeing.

But that support has only been possible because of people like you.

So when Manita says thank you to OTP in this video, that thank you belongs to you too — to every donor and supporter who has helped us be there for her over the years.

Now Manita has her eyes firmly on the future. Her dream is to become a pilot, and as she says herself, she is ready to work hard to make it happen. ✈️ SUNRISE AIRWAYS American Airlines 大坂なおみ🇭🇹🇯🇵

This Back-to-School season, you can help Manita — and the other children we support — take another step toward their dreams.

🎒 Donate for the Back-to-School season and help give a child the education and opportunities they need to build the future they dream of.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more of our children, their stories and, most importantly, their dreams — in their own voices. 💛

📚 Help us give 12 children a strong start to the new school year.
For most of us, back-to-school shopping is something we expect each year. But for many of the families we work with in Haiti, it's one of the biggest financial hurdles they face.
This year, we're raising funds to support 12 children in our Family Support Program.
Your donation helps cover the essentials that every child deserves—school fees, uniforms, books, and supplies—so they can walk into the classroom ready to learn. More importantly, it helps ease the financial pressure on families who are working incredibly hard to keep their children safe, healthy, and at home.
It costs around $400 to support one child for the school year, but every gift, no matter the size, moves us closer to our goal.
Whether you can give $25, $50, $100, or sponsor a child, you'll be making a real difference in a child's future.
💚 If you'd like to help, you can donate here:

And if giving isn't possible right now, sharing this post is another wonderful way to support these children.
Thank you for believing, as we do, that every child deserves the chance to learn, dream, and build a brighter future.
One gift. One child. One family kept together.

This is Flaure and her baby girl during a postpartum appointment at Kay Akouchman. 🤍
At 31 days old, baby’s heartbeat was being checked by Nurse Miss Carline during a follow-up visit — one small but important part of the ongoing care mothers and babies receive after birth.
Postpartum care helps ensure both mother and baby continue healing, growing, and being supported in the weeks following delivery.
As part of our Mother-to-Mother campaign, we’re sharing different moments that make up a maternal care journey at Olive Tree Projects.
A full maternal care journey costs $1,100 USD and helps provide prenatal care, safe delivery, and postpartum follow-up for mothers and babies in Haiti.Learn more at the link: https://olivetreeprojects.org/mother-to-mother-campaign

Last Thursday and Friday, our midwives and nurses from Olive Tree Projects had the privilege of leading a neonatal resuscitation training for the pediatric unit at Hôpital Saint-Michel.
At Olive Tree Projects, we believe that improving maternal and infant health goes beyond the walls of our clinic. By sharing knowledge, strengthening skills, and working alongside other healthcare professionals in our community, we can help create safer beginnings for even more babies in Jacmel.
We are incredibly proud of our team for continuing to lead with compassion, professionalism, and expertise. Trainings like these help strengthen newborn care skills and improve outcomes for babies and families throughout our community.
None of this would be possible without the support of our donors, whose generosity allows us not only to provide care, but also to invest in collaboration and education that strengthens healthcare in Haiti.
Every training, every shared skill, and every prepared healthcare worker has the potential to help save a newborn life. 💛
