We are incredibly proud of every student, our first time participants who represented UCMAS South Delta at the National Competition.
This year, more than 450 students participated in the BC competition while over 7,500 students are competing across Canada making this an incredible event where young minds challenge themselves, grow, and shine ✨
I’m sure everyone enjoyed the experience and had the opportunity to see how big and exciting the competition was.

Whether a student joined recently or is preparing to graduate, the competition journey teaches the same powerful lessons:

While others might feel the "math jitters," UCMAS kids stay in the zone. By mastering the rhythm of the beads, they develop a mental "calm" that carries them through exams, public speaking, and life’s big challenges.
We don’t just build fast thinkers; we build steady hearts.
✨🧠Does your child know how to write the number 1,000, or do they actually understand what it feels like?
Memorizing formulas is short-term.
Developing “Number Sense” through tactile abacus learning builds an intuitive grasp of quantities, logic, and eventually, financial literacy.
✨🧩IMath is an amazing program for the young learners between the ages 3-6. It’s our pre UCMAS program that introduces foundational math concepts in the most engaging playful way. Here our students build their problems solving skills, spatial awareness, visualization skills in our through our hands on fun learning environment. At this age, the tactile and visual learning method is the best way to truly absorb these new ideas.
