The STRAWBERRIES didn't get the "summer is over" message. Reaping the bonus of this big and sweet bounty, we will be at the Saturday Farmer's Market between 9am and 1pm at at the Exhibition Grounds. Along with a truck load of berries, we will also have a freezer full of Whole Roasting Chicken.

Better later than never says the extraordinary September strawberry crop! We are excited to return to the Saturday Farmer’s Market tomorrow between 9am and 1pm at the Exhibition Grounds. Easily our biggest harvest ever, the berries are sweet and big and ready for fresh eating, jam or the winter supply.

We will also have whole frozen roasting chickens for sale. Our chickens are freshly processed on the farm.

September is sweet with STRAWBERRIES. We are in the midst of a long awaited and excellent strawberry harvest. We didn’t get ourselves organized for the Saturday Farmer’s Market but will be selling pre-picked strawberries from the Farm between 11am and 2pm this Saturday. $7/lb. No pre-order necessary tomorrow.

Hello September. We have revelled in an extended BLUEBERRY season and reaped the benefits of the ease of picking the sweetest of the season. It is now time to close the gate on the 700 bushes. Thank you loyal customers for making 2025 an exceptional season. Without you, farming is all for naught. We hope you enjoy the stores of your labour all winter long.

September is high harvest season for many Comox Valley farmers. Continue to make the most of the local bounty.

At Windhover, we are turning our attention to the strawberry field which is finally producing what we've been waiting for all summer long! If you have ordered, you will be contacted soon. Feel free to message to check your order status, order more or cancel if you need to. $7/lb.

And Windhover raised CHICKEN, the literal meat and bones of the farm. Bone broth season is soon upon us. Our farm freezers are well stocked with recently processed whole roasting chicken. $4.25/lb. Message to arrange pick up. No regular farm open hours. By appointment only.

Last day but not last call for Blueberries. We will be open for Blueberry U-pick Tuesday from 8:30am to noon. The field is still a sea of Blue. Bring buckets and cash. E-transfer also accepted.

After Tuesday, picking will be by appointment. Message to arrange a time to come and pick. We will be here all week and look forward to company in the field as we make the most of this excellent season.

Difficult to close the gate on the Blueberries but we will be closed Friday to Sunday. Open again Monday for Blueberry U-pick from 8:30am to 1pm with the promise of continued excellent and extended picking.

Our market freezer is also now full of freshly processed Whole Chicken $4.25/lb.
