There is something special about growing your own food. Knowing the effort and care that goes into growing your own veggies makes them taste even sweeter.
Our 2020 growing season included moving beyond the vegetables we grow for our family, and conducting a trial of dozens of new vegetable varieties in order to decide what seeds we would add for 2021. But in these unprecedented times, we have opted to open our seed collection early for all to enjoy. The link to our selection in bio.
We selected 75 or so varieties from the hundreds of vegetables available to us to trial. Our choice was based on producing a well rounded, nutritious, high producing vegetable garden. And enough variety that you can feed your family many meals without having to eat the same stuff over and over.
We have a whole series of awesome vegetable garden plans for patio, urban and large garden, growing ideas and more all planned for release shortly. Our growing resources section will be updated to reflect the best way to get the highest production from all the vegetable seed we offer.

💚Social distance, non contact, safe service with Canada Post.
💚We count our letter carrier Chris, and Post Office Clerk Rose and our Postmaster Corrine as part of our shipping team. It's one of the best benefits of having a business in a small town.
💚As many businesses move online for the first time, we already have it down. Our low touch shipping method includes Chris picking up our grey boxes at the farm. Your order gets scanned at the Cookstown post office and then off to your front door. Simple.
💚We want to take this opportunity to thank our Canada Post team for being gracious, thoughtful and accommodating during this unprecedented time.
💚A big thank you to all those who find themselves serving others because they want to.
We are having some technical issues with the site crashing. We are working hard to get things back up and running smoothly for you.

Our Tuber Shop is Open!!
We are so proud to be able to sell our own farm grown tubers this year. We have been working hard at getting all the pieces of this puzzle in place over the last few years.
We have a great variety of colours, shapes and sizes listed in the shop. (link in Bio)
Dahlias are one of our favorite blooms here, we use them in market bouquets and sell them by the bucket full to florists.
We gave priority to our email subscriber list earlier this afternoon. They had a three hour head start shopping but there are still some amazing varieties perfect for your garden or farm.
If you were looking for a reason to join our email list this is it
Due to regulations, we are unable to ship tubers outside of Canada

FriYay!!
Its a crazy busy time of year as we are in the throws of fall clean up but know it's super important to have a bit of balance and we try to find those times on the weekend for just that. A bit of rest and relaxation is in order. I'm thinking a good book fireside with a glass of red is what's in store for me tonight.
What's your favorite way to rest and relax?
What's your best tip to slow down?

Nature has the best colour palettes. Every. Time.
I think its one of the reasons that fall is my favorite season. (Don't tell Spring, Summer or Winter) The fall colours in Ontario are magical.
Do you have a favorite colour palette?
'
Do you gravitate to the pastels of spring?
'
the brights of summer?
'
the rustics of fall?
'
or the clean whites of winter?

A little behind the scene. We spent days and days this summer trying to capture all the incredible dahlia varieties in the field. I even managed to source the most perfect ruler (made in Canada) to show the approximate size.
Love it when a plan starts to come together. Don't you?
What big plan have you been working on? How is it going?

Missing blooms in buckets already.
We're hard at work digging dahlias, getting the finishing touches on course material for (doors close for this course on Oct 28th so hop over there if you have any questions on the ) and restocking the shop with so many incredible beautiful seed varieties.
We've been getting lots of questions about product availability.
Dahlias will be listed mid-November (spring shipping).
Seeds will be listed with lots of new beauties mid-December (December shipping)
Be sure and sign up for email alerts on our website to be first to get all the details. Link in bio
