Crikey and Pikey working together in our client’s yard, using our cranes to complete a tandem lift on these pumpjacks
This job came together efficiently for a reason. Strong teamwork, experience, and preparation all played a role
Crikey and Pikey have worked side by side on many job sites, building the kind of communication and trust that tandem lifts demand. Both bring extensive experience with these cranes, allowing them to move with confidence and precision. On top of that, our team was able to draw from documented lifts of similar scope, giving us the ability to plan ahead and execute with clarity
At McIntyre Crane & Rigging, we understand that no two lifts are ever exactly the same. Conditions change, challenges arise, and adaptability is key. That is why our operators are equipped not just with the right equipment, but with the knowledge and preparation to handle whatever the job throws at them
When you work with us, you are not just getting a crane. You are getting a team that knows how to plan, communicate, and execute at a high level
That is what gets the job done right
Experience builds confidence. But when a job starts to feel routine, complacency can quietly creep in. In this industry, we do not take that lightly.
At McIntyre Crane & Rigging, our crew understands that every lift carries risk, no matter how many times we have done something similar before. That is why we stay locked into our process. Pre-planning, communication, and ex*****on are approached with the same level of focus every single time.
In this clip, Pikey rigs up a 30,000 lb compressor while John operates the crane, placing it onto a remote-controlled modular transporter. It is a job these guys can complete quickly, but speed never comes at the expense of awareness.
Every movement is calculated. Every step is intentional. Because in this line of work, the moment you get too comfortable is the moment you become exposed.
Thanks to strong safety processes, detailed planning, and a crew that actively buys into doing things the right way, lifts like this are completed with maximum efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment.
Working efficiently does not mean cutting corners. It means knowing the job, trusting the plan, and executing it properly. From crane maintenance to job setup to final placement, discipline is what separates confidence from complacency

John and Pikey took on the rain at noon to handle this last-minute 30,000 lb compressor lift without missing a beat
When clients need it done now, they know they can count on us to show up and get it done right
A little rain doesn’t slow us down, but conditions like high winds can impact timelines and safety. That’s why every lift is carefully planned before the crane even arrives on site, ensuring it’s executed by experienced operators and held to the highest safety standards

At McIntyre Crane & Rigging, it’s not just about the lift in front of us, it’s about the bigger picture
With operators like Jason leading the way, we take pride in delivering consistent, high-level performance day in and day out. Our team understands what it takes to keep long-term projects moving efficiently, safely, and on schedule
From the first pick to the final placement, we’re committed to being a reliable partner on every jobsite. Strong operators, dependable equipment, and a focus on building lasting relationships is what sets McIntyre apart
Back in 2023, Beebs and Lloyd were on the ground rigging for Jason on a material hoist, with Jason running our 100 ton Grove GMK 4080. Calgary was blanketed in wildfire smoke that day, making for some tough conditions, but the job didn’t slow down
With the crane set up on a challenging slope, the road had to be closed to get everything done safely. Beebs and Lloyd jumped in to clean up the street and prep the area so the pads had the best possible footing. Once the crane was setup, Jason did what he does best and made quick, clean lifts onto the roofs
Before long, the job was wrapped up and the crew was packed up, ready to enjoy the rest of their Friday
Looking back on jobs like this reminds us that every lift teaches you something. Even when the conditions fade from memory, the lessons don’t. We track the details, learn from every setup, and make sure we’re even better prepared for the next one, no matter the size or complexity

Fantastic work today from Crikey and Nicole
At McIntyre Crane & Rigging, we are proud to be locally owned and operated, delivering turnkey solutions across Western Canada since 2010
We truly appreciate the continued support from our customers and partners
Everything is going great with Jason in the Southwest today as he wraps up the week hoisting rebar cages. The project has seen excellent progress so far, and Jason has continued to demonstrate why he’s a top-tier crane operator on any jobsite
The 100-ton Grove GMK 4080 has been an outstanding crane for this project, with its impressive reach proving to be a major advantage throughout the work
More than just crane power is required when hoisting large glass panels. Precision, pre-planning, and an experienced operator behind the controls are what make a difference
Our crew is working alongside the install team to place these panels exactly where they need to be safely. Tight space, clean movements, and clear communication make all the difference when handling high-value materials like this
Our team has plenty of experience working with oversized glass in tight areas, whether that’s a new development area or a busy downtown street
