🐴 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR EQUINE PARTICIPANTS

The Carp Agricultural Society has been notified that an animal that attended one of the equine events at the 2026 Perth Fair, between September 3–6, has since tested positive for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA).

We are sharing this information with our equine participants so that they are aware and can take any precautions they feel are appropriate.

If you attended fairs with horses during the following dates and have any concerns about possible exposure or the health of your animals, we encourage you to contact your local veterinarian for advice and guidance regarding any recommended next steps or testing.

• September 11
• September 18–20
• September 25–26

We appreciate everyone’s attention to this notice and their continued commitment to the health and well-being of the equine community.

From the first set-up day to the final goodbye, it truly takes a community to put on the Carp Fair — and we couldn’t do it without all of you!
