Our latest addition to our racing family, Dancin' Deputy. Purchased last year as a yearling, he will be shipped to Woodbine Racetrack on March 1st, 2022, along with Skyre and My Sweet Forester.

Dancin' Deputy is by Souper Speedy, the hottest sire in Canada, the past 3 years. His dam is My Sweet Tooch. He has 2 full brothers that are still racing and doing very well, so we have high expectations from him. His new trainer will be Rachel Halden, who is very successful at Woodbine. She apprenticed under Roger Attfield for many years before striking out on her own. We are looking forward to an exciting year.

Another addition to our racing family is My Sweet Forester. She was a 2020 auction purchase, and also has not raced yet. She was sent to Woodbine March 1st, 2021 to start training for the new racing season. Unfortunately, she suffered an injury in the first week of training, and required surgery to repair the damage. She had to stay in cross-ties for 3 months, to prevent her from laying down and re-injuring herself. Tough trooper. She had the rest of 2021 off, and will be returning to Woodbine Racetrack March 1st, 2022. Hoping for a promising year. Here she is in her cross-ties.

Hear is a new addition to our racing family. Skyre was purchased at the Woodbine Yearling Auction in 2019. She has not raced yet due to all the missed race dates due to Covid-19. She will be returning to Woodbine Racetrack March 1st, 2022. Hopefully, we have a full racing season this year, and Skyre will finally get to test her talent.

Ginger Sky had a great 2019 campaign, with 2 very good wins. We decided to send him to Gulfstream Park in Florida, to continue his training and possibly get a couple of races in, over the winter. Unfortunately, he got injured there. He came back the first week of March 2020 with a swollen right knee, so was sent to farm for lay up. By May 2020, I decided to retire him from racing. If he had a bad tendon, there was no point in giving him the rest of the year off, then start training the following year. The tendon would probably blow up again and I didn't want to put him through that. So then he became a project for me. I started re-training him in September 2020, just doing groundwork for the first 5-6 months, doing some desensitizing along the way. It's been a very slow process, but that's ok. Slow and easy is the best way. I was originally re-training him to be my pleasure riding horse, but we 've discovered that he likes the English style of riding too, plus he likes to go over poles and jumps. So, now we are focusing on the hunter/jumper style of training. He loves to use his brain and enjoys his new work. This will be an interesting journey.

Here is Ginger Sky's 3rd win. He had a terrible start when he reared inside the gate as it opened, coming out dead last. The jockey didn't panic and slowly got Ginger into contention, with a great stretch drive.
