I gave a safety talk to the tech theatre students at Bishop Carroll High School.
I used a near-miss example from an opera I performed in to demonstrate the importance of paying attention to detail. I also told the students they each have the power to stop work if they feel it’s unsafe.
My son Joe Rino is the drama teacher at Bishop Carroll. Since the name Mr. Rino was taken, I was Sideshow Mr. Rino!

HI there!
Ever wondered if Santa Claus doomscrolls through Tony Rino videos while he’s guiding his sleigh? I did! So, I made this reel for my Opera/Rock rendition of Feliz Navidad!
I animated nearly all the visuals using Adobe Firefly’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) and assembled it all in Premiere using a different and wildly unpredictable AI (Antonio’s Imagination).
The audio was recorded by me and a talented group of musicians led and produced by Russell Broom using HI (Human Intelligence). Now, in my case, I suppose we could argue the Intelligence part of that, but there’s no denying the entirely Human part!
It was a lot of fun building the visuals for this video with AI, but there was nothing more fun and creative than imagining and recording songs with HI! Not saying AI is horrible. I’m saying AI is nothing without HI.
So, just say HI! And Feliz Navidad!
