Based on the composition by Luigi Mengoni, these verses of the 23rd Psalm are often sung at Italian funeral services.

1. Il Signore è il mio pastore:
nulla manca ad ogni attesa;
in verdissimi prati mi pasce,
mi disseta a placide acque.

2. È il ristoro dell’anima mia,
in sentieri diritti mi guida
per amore del santo suo nome,
dietro lui mi sento sicuro.

3. Pur se andassi per valle oscura
non avrò a temere alcun male:
perché sempre mi sei vicino,
mi sostieni col tuo vincastro.

In honour of the special jubilee year of St. Francis of Assisi as declared by Pope Leo, and inspired by Father Edmund Vargas, I recorded this Italian version of The Prayer of St. Francis by Sebastian Temple.

I collaborated with Jim Howells Music Services and adapted the Italian words with help from Maria Chiacchia.

Jim and I recorded the video at St. Michael Catholic Community.

I am deeply grateful for everyone who helped, and I hope this recording helps inspire all who hear it to be instruments of peace.

I had the honour of singing the Easter Proclamation – The Exultet – at the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Michael Catholic Community. Here is a snippet, taken from behind the ambo.
