Giving back to the radiation therapy community means more than supporting the clinicians using our products today. It also means investing in the therapists who will shape the profession tomorrow.

Recently, the CDR Systems team had the opportunity to spend time with Radiation Therapy students at Thomas Jefferson University for a hands-on session focused on patient positioning, immobilization and bolus techniques.

And we mean hands-on.

Students worked directly with thermoplastic materials, practiced positioning and immobilization techniques, explored different setup approaches and gained exposure to custom bolus workflows, including LUMORA™.

For us, sessions like this are about much more than demonstrating products.

There are countless practical lessons experienced radiation therapists develop over years in the clinic — how materials behave, how small positioning decisions affect the final setup, how to improve reproducibility, and how to balance immobilization with patient comfort.

Those are lessons worth sharing.

The students entering RT programs today will soon be the therapists treating patients, improving workflows and helping shape the future of radiation oncology.
