Incandescent Forms

The largest metal work in the exhibition, this piece grew out of the paper collage Incandescent Pores. I photographed the original piece and reconfigured its fragments into something new — a transformation that felt like witnessing a being emerge through its own evolution.
I’m drawn to this process of reassembly and renewal — the way forms can shift, grow, and find new life. The piece was precisely cut with a CNC machine, its shapes appearing to move and expand, while digital and real shadows intersect, altering the sense of depth and perspective.

Incandescent Pores

This work draws from the way petals reflect and scatter light — the iridescent shimmer caused by microscopic structures on their surface. That incandescent quality reminded me of skin and pores.

This piece forms a part of the Alien Landscapes environment, a floating tree, it's roots are formed from orange petals resembling muscle or tissue, while its trunk — a stem covered in small, hair-like prickles — supports four radiant petals that hold this same structural iridescence.

The piece lingers between the organic and the unfamiliar, inviting a closer look to the similarities between the body and nature.

An absolutely amazing evening. Last night felt like a dream, I could not believe the incredible support from my community, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it! Felt so special to share my work, and even though I was quite nervous to do my talk, it felt great to share a little bit about my process and concepts behind the work 🤍 It was a long journey to get to this moment and I feel so greatful to the amazing people that supported me along the way.
