I didn’t win, but 6500+ votes for a regular gal like me is not nothing. A couple city councillors won their wards with less votes than that 😂

It’s not easy to put yourself out there. I am proud of my campaign, my team and myself. I had hundreds of amazing conversations with strangers, knocked on thousands of doors with my team, and gave it my absolute best (with three little kids at home and a business to run).

Thank you to everyone on my team - the family and friends who supported me and cheered me on, my volunteers who put in countless hours just because they believed in me and what I stood for. I am humbled by the care and generosity of strangers and friends alike.

As we were driving around yesterday picking up as many signs as possible, I was sad and disappointed and frustrated about losing. Then, I got sent this picture of my kids at the park and it hit me - I’ve already won.

I will always stand up for what is right. This isn’t the end of this type of journey for me. I don’t know for sure what’s next… but I do have some big ideas. And feels like I’m just getting started. Stay tuned. ✌️♥️🙏

This picture is from DAY ONE door knocking 🏠, way back earlier this summer. I had no idea what I was doing. I'm not shy, but I was certainly nervous about putting myself out there initially. But not anymore!

I have spent the last few months on the doors every single day listening to your concerns and learning more about my communities. If I am so lucky as to be elected today, I will spend the next four years continuing to listen and learn.
