We confess the times when we have responded
out of fear when curiosity was needed.
In our responses to others when they offend or confuse us.
In our response to ourselves when we act out of shame or self-preservation.
In our response to the Divine when we simply do not understand.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us

We pray for those navigating difficult medical decisions and journeys,
whether it’s their own or alongside a loved one.
Bring comfort to their bodies,
peace to their minds,
wisdom in their planning,
and renewed strength every morning.

We pray for those who are new to Calgary
or still trying to find their place.
May they find friendship and belonging in their workplaces,
in their neighbours,
and especially here at Commons.
