Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to remember the harms caused by the Canadian residential school system, which operated from the the late 1800s until the last school was closed in 1997. It separated Indigenous children from their families and their culture, perpetuated systems of abuse and neglect, and led to uncountable deaths.

We encourage you to take time today to familiarize yourself with the resources available through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at nctr.ca. We will be posting local events to our story throughout the day.

REMINDER: Get the lowest possible price to see RIBSTONE, while enjoying a relaxed performance with ASL interpretation, on Saturday, October 10 at 4pm.

Get tickets for $19.75, in honour of the year of our birth (1975)!

The fun starts in our new theatre at cSPACE on Wednesday Oct 7th at 5:30pm with a cocktail reception. You'll then be invited to navigate through a series of curated encounters throughout the building that celebrate theatre, visual art, community, storytelling, and the creative organizations that make cSPACE unique. The encounters also feature an interactive Crankie, inspired by RIBSTONE. Along with the encounters, enjoy delicious passed hors d'oeuvres and w**e from local favourites Salon Catering (Our Daily Brett) and City & Country Winery, with dessert from Aroma Cafe. Finally we end up back downstairs in the theatre for the opening performance of RIBSTONE by Christopher Hunt.

We're seeking volunteers to help us paint our old office and rehearsal hall THIS FRIDAY, August 21!

No need to sign up; just show up. Thank you!

We moved over the weekend! Take a look at our new digs (and our new view) as we get ready to welcome you to cSPACE Marda Loop in October!

The second photo is from our old spot in Calgary Tower Centre, now empty.
