Fly Right Swing is one of Calgary's top Swing Dance organizations.
Fly Right Swing is a local Swing Dance company founded July 1st 2015 to keep your feet movin’ and your life groovin’!
We've got a slight change in schedule for this month! We'll be having our regular DJ'd dance on October 16th and then our annual Halloween Hop on October 30th!! Come join us; no experience required!
Moment's Notice is back with us this Friday!! Join us for the beginner lesson at 8:30 if you've never danced before or are still getting the swing of things, or at 9:30 when the band goes on!
Join us this long weekend for some social dancing!
Friday September 4
7-8pm - Bootcamp (must be comfortable with what we teach in the beginner lesson)
8:30-9:30pm - Beginner lesson! No experience or partner required!
9:30-late - Social dance
We're so excited to be welcoming the Fledgehogs tomorrow night!!
Enjoy a snippet of their rendition of Satin Doll by Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington. Strayhorn wrote a significant amount of music with (and for) Ellington. He was wildly under credited though as he tended to veer away from the spotlight as an openly gay man. If you want to hear more from the Fledgehogs, you know where to find them! If you want to know more about Billy Strayhorn, find Alexandria and she'll tell you as much as you want to know!

We're gearing up for Spring Fling next week!!! TLDR: Southern Stardust Big Band, performance by Mad Cat Swing + Friends (from in Edmonton!!!), sticker restock, and a full night of social dancing 🌼
May 15th
8:30pm - beginner lesson
9:30pm - band starts
10:30pm - performance
No need to pre-register, and no partner or experience required!
Looking for something to do this Easter weekend? Join us for our Friday Night Hop! We've got a bootcamp, beginner lesson, and social dance lines up for you this Friday evening.
If you're feeling comfy with the basics we teach in the beginner lesson, join us at 7pm to learn more!
Never danced before? No problem! Join the beginner classes at 8:30pm to learn everything you need to know to enjoy the evening. No experience or partner required.
Bootcamp: 7-8pm | $20
Beginner lesson: 8:30-9:30pm | complimentary

Join us this Friday for a Shim Sham variations bootcamp followed by our beginner lesson and social dance!!
Bootcamp:

Prerequisite: must already be comfortable with the shim Sham; we will not be teaching the basic movements/routine
Social Dance:
Beginner lesson 8:30-9:30pm (no partner or experience required!!)
DJ'd music 9:30-late
