The Junction Church
Where life meets faith.

We are starting our FIRST adult bible school this morning, learning about the meaning and significance of the Lord’s Supper. 🍷🥖✝️
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
Ephesians 4:11-16 ESV

Happy Mother's Day to all who care and advocate for children everywhere. Whether you are a biological, heart/bonus, or spiritual mom, may God grant you strength, patience, and wisdom. May He fill your heart with gladness and joy, and show you the God-given purpose of your role in the lives of your children, and those around you.
As Hannah said, "For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him."
Thank you for raising children who are fearful and devoted to the Lord!

He is risen!
Easter Sunday is not merely a celebration of an empty tomb, it is the declaration that the work of Christ is finished and accepted by God.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is God’s vindication of His Son. The sacrifice offered on the cross was fully sufficient. Sin was truly atoned for. Justice was completely satisfied. Death has been defeated.
This was not a possibility, it is an assurance.
Christ died for His people, and He was raised for their justification. Because He lives, all who are united to Him by faith share in His victory, no longer under condemnation, but brought into peace with God.
As it is written in Romans 4:25 (ESV):
“who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.”
Easter proclaims that salvation is not achieved by us, but secured by Christ alone.
The tomb is empty. The work is finished. The King is alive.

Why is it called *Good Friday*?
There was nothing good about the suffering itself. On this day, Jesus Christ was crucified and died, bearing our sins and enduring the full weight of God’s judgment against them.
And yet, it is called "good".
Because this was not a tragedy outside of God’s control. It was the sovereign plan of God to redeem His people.
On the cross, Christ did not merely make salvation possible, He accomplished it. He stood in the place of His people, bearing their sin and enduring the righteous wrath of God in full. Justice was not set aside, it was satisfied.
As Scripture says in Isaiah 53:5 (ESV):
“But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.”
Good Friday is good because through the death of Christ, redemption was secured, sin was atoned for, and peace with God was accomplished for all who belong to Him.

Join us for a special evening service on Good Friday, April 3rd, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. This service is a time to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross and prepare our hearts to celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Today our children’s church, Junction Kids, wrote out every reason they have to be thankful to God. Then we made coupons to give to those we love, to serve them out of our thankfulness for all that Jesus has done in our lives! ♥️ *Matthew:8:14-17

Merry Christmas from Junction Church! Let us spend time today remembering the true reason we have joy this Christmas season: Emmanuel, God with us!
"And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” -Luke 2:12-14 (ESV)

Today we gathered as a church family, singing together, hearing Scripture read by our congregation, and reflecting on the good news of Christmas.
This is not a day we try to make special.
It already is.
Christ is born.
God has come near.
Hope has entered the world.
May we not confine this joy to one day, but treasure Christ all year long.
Merry Christmas from our church family to yours ❤️
