Excited, grateful, and ready for what’s next.

I’m still riding such a high from winning the 2026 YYC Songwriter Showdown and the Grey Cup Festival Anthem competition.

I have evolved so much over the past few months since this competition began. The support from fans, friends, family, and the industry has had a profound impact on how I view myself as an original artist and the respect I have for my songwriting.

I’m still new to this side of the industry, and I’ve had my share of imposter syndrome, feeling like I wasn’t good enough or that people didn’t really want to hear my original music. But coming out of this experience, something feels different. There’s a calmness now. A sense of confidence and comfort in who I am as an artist.

So I owe a huge thank you to for the opportunity and encouragement, and to everyone who voted and supported, not just me, but all the incredible artists in this competition.

I can’t thank you enough for the time and energy you put into learning my songs, and for the amazing presence you brought to the stage. Singing with you and adding mandolin brought a whole new life to the music.

And thank you & for stepping in and helping bring everything together, and providing me with a solid rhythm section.

And finally to my wife .. not only for being the inspiration and muse behind every song that I write, but for your unwavering support and love for me always. Thank you.

There’s a lot to look forward to, and I’m honoured to be working with the this year.

More to come soon, but for now, I’m just going to take this in and enjoy the moment.
