Late last week the House of Commons rose for summer and they will not return to Ottawa until fall. Throughout the break, CCA staff and your elected representatives will continue to advocate on behalf of Canadian beef producers, ensuring the interests of Canada's beef sector are represented wherever important policy discussions take place.
Producers remain the strongest voice for our industry. We encourage you to reach out to your MP and provincial representatives to share your policy concerns and priorities. Invite them to tour your cattle operation and farm or ranch so they can experience firsthand the work, stewardship, and resilience required to raise Canadian beef. Those experiences help build understanding, strengthen relationships, and ensure elected officials are better equipped to support the future of Canada's beef industry.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads — and sires — who help keep the cattle industry strong every single day.
We celebrate the fathers, mentors, and role models who help shape the future of our industry and our communities. From early mornings on the ranch to lessons passed down through generations, thank you to all the dads who lead by example and inspire those around them.

Succession challenges? You may find answers at Canadian Beef Industry Conference. ⬇️
Some of the toughest conversations in agriculture aren't about cattle, markets, or weather. They're the conversations around the kitchen table.
Who is making decisions? Who is taking on more responsibility? What does the future of the operation look like? And how do you have those discussions when everyone sees things differently?
Join Trevor MacLean, Partner with MNP's Agriculture team, for Communications Across Generations: Succession Discussions at CBIC 2026.
With more than 20 years of experience advising agricultural businesses across Western Canada, Trevor helps producers navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with business transition, family communication, and long-term planning.
Whether you're preparing to transition an operation, step into a larger role, or simply improve communication across generations, this session will provide practical insights for one of the most important conversations facing agriculture today.
