I attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Rockyview Ward's Annual Corn Bust and potluck yesterday. Events like this help bring together friends, family and neighbors.

The latest installment of the Hawkwood Community Association Summer Concert series. Great seeing neighbourhood band “Second to Best” performing for their neighbors and friends at the Hawkwood Community Park. Next one Sept 19 with Back Story Blue.

On Aug 9 1974 Syria shot down an unarmed Canadian Buffalo transport aircraft on a routine flight to Damascus killing 9 Canadian peacekeepers. Today I laid a wreath at Peacekeeper Park where we remember Canadians who died on Peacekeeping or Peace Support missions.
