๐ŸŒง๏ธ ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ Cycling in the rain isn't exactly everyone's idea of a good time.

Between the drenched kit, numb fingers, and the muddy stripe up your back, it's tempting to stay indoors. But here's the thing โ€” those miserable rides build serious mental resilience. They drag you out of your comfort zone and prove that growth rarely happens when everything is easy.

Every rainy ride is a mental training session in disguise. You practise staying calm through discomfort, keeping focus when everything around you is messy, and choosing discipline over the easy option of staying inside where it's warm and dry.

The resilience you earn on those wet rides stays with you long after you've dried off. Life's everyday annoyances โ€” the traffic, the tough days, the minor frustrations โ€” feel that much easier when you've already pedaled through a storm.

Here are a few practical takeaways for anyone willing to embrace a rainy ride:

- ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜: Instead of thinking, โ€œI have to ride in the rain,โ€ try, โ€œI get to build mental strength today.โ€
- ๐——๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜: Waterproof jacket, gloves, and maybe a cap under your helmet go a long way.
- ๐—Ÿ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€: Itโ€™s not about speed; itโ€™s about showing up and following through.
- ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ: Hot shower, warm drink, and the smug satisfaction that you did something most people avoided.

The next time you look out the window and see gray skies, donโ€™t just see bad weather - see an opportunity. Rain is temporary, but the confidence and toughness you build pedaling through it will stick around.

Plus, when summer rolls back around, those perfect blue-sky rides will feel like a reward youโ€™ve truly earned.

E-bike? I don't know... it is for people who wanted to ride bike but do not like to sweat. More beneficial to those who are physically challenge like the old people with disabilities, or young people with restricted movements.

The best cycling motivation is when you realize that your biggest fear is not crashing your $6000 bike at 85 kph and losing your skin or breaking your bones; it's sitting in your chair at 90 and thinking, 'I wish I had done more'.

It is expensive but it is worth it. Cycling is the best exercise for me, coupled with right food intake and strength training... now, I am in full control of my health. Of course any exercise is good than no exercise, but I find riding my bike best in treating my conditions (such as diabetes, hypertension, depression, joint pain and getting rid of the stubborn visceral fats). I cut back my meds prescription from 8 different kinds down to 3, and currently working to eliminate all of these pills before my retirement. Yes, you will spend your hard earned money... just think of it that you're buying back the healthy version of YOU.
