I missed posting this in the rush of, well, everything lately. My won its class and took best overall in the dyeing section at the . I am quite proud of how far I’ve come since my first feeble efforts making a felted mess dyeing roving in a plastic bag in the microwave. I’ve built my skills through trial and error and a solid understanding of . I’ll get back to in the new year.
I always get asked “How long does it take to sew a pillow?” And the answer of course is that it depends on how many other things I have on the go. But today I tried to keep on task and I offer this little gem that outlines my process and the timeline. Even I wasn’t sure I could complete a whole pillow in a day, but there you have it.
