The world's longest hockey game is currently being played in Chestermere, AB. In all, 40 players will play for 262 hours straight to help raise awareness for childhood cancers and to
raise money for the Alberta Children's Hospital so that they may continue to work towards a cure while providing the absolute best care for kids dealing with this horrible disease.

I am challenging my followers here on FB to donate just ONE dollar to the marathon's cause. It may not seem like a lot, but if each person did this, together, we'd be donating over ONE THOUSAND dollars to the cause! Now doesn't that sound great??!!!

Just think, that $1 donation could be the last dollar needed to fund a research project that leads to a cure!

He has always had the best sense of humour! He asked me that question 7 years ago not knowing how funny (and inappropriate) it was. Now at 15, he certainly does know and because at 15, he’d kill me if he knew I posted it again, I’m a also posting a more recent picture of this wonderful human being who has turned into such a kind, smart, brilliantly funny and handsome young man (he’ll probably still be mortified I’ve posted this!).

So much to be for today including the support of more than 1500 Calgarians who showed up today for the IG Wealth Management Walk & Run!

One of the absolute biggest benefit of sport is the lifelong friendships you make along your journey.

These girls started out as competitors turned teammates turned competitors once again, but all the while, their friendship has stayed constant and true ❤️🥎❤️🥎

When the right environment is provided, players become more than just teammates. They become each other’s biggest cheerleaders, each each other’s greatest support and they build friendships that last well beyond the game, through thick and thin, through wins and losses, throughout life.

Thanks to all those that provided and fostered that exact environment and to those that continue to do so today 😊

This post comes a little late thanks to a busy week including back-to-school, driver’s training, then testing, party planning and finally a Sweet 16 gathering with family and friends!

Happy birthday my girl - you continue to amaze me with your courage, perseverance, growing confidence, big heart and dance moves! Lol!

I had the utmost pleasure of meeting this wonderful gentleman on his 100th birthday today 🥳

Ernesto shared with me his secret of living a long and happy life which was amazingly simple. After the age of 50, he says you should:

- exercise daily (he walks and rides a stationary bike and up until he was 94, he was an avid golfer) 🏌🏻

- reduce your alcohol intake (he drinks a single glass of red wine each day which he also makes at home) 🍷

- reduce your food intake and cut out the junk (he loves pasta but says you need to know when to say “no”!) 🍝

- avoid stress (he paints every single day and has produced pretty much all of the oil paintings in his home) 🎨

- enjoy your family (he is incredibly proud of his 2 sons, his 5 grandchildren and his 5 great-grandchildren and in fact, says his family is his greatest accomplishment of all of his 100 years on this earth ❤️) 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

To you wonderful sir, I wish you the happiest of birthdays and may this year bring you more time with your family, more painting, pasta and wine and of course, some warmer weather so you can take your daily dose of exercise outside 🌿

Most common heard phrase on the hill this weekend, “Let mom go first, she’s slow and we’ll just have to wait for her anyway!”
