Enjoyed getting out to visit our tenants this season and drop of this holiday gift filled with treats! Thank you to all of our tenants and all the best for 2020!
Many of our homes include utilities, however we appreciate your support in keeping costs down.
Use these simple steps to prepare your home for winter:
Check toilet and taps for leaks and report them. Even though fall inspections were just completed this can change
Ensure outdoor water supply is off

It is the season again where thankfully the grass is greener and more regular yard care is required. Taking care of the yard not only is your responsibility it adds to the enjoyment of your home and community neighbourhood.
Let’s all do our part, use the following checklist to remind you what may need to be done in your yard:
• Grass care: Grass cutting is generally needed every 1 – 2 weeks, don’t cut off more than one third of the grass blade for healthy grass
• Mowing pattern: Is there any rutting? Has the pattern been alternated?
• Edging: Are the edges clean cut, and have the grass clippings been cleaned?
• Health: Do you see signs of fertility, pest or disease issues on the turf?
• Weeds: Are there weeds, and if so, determine what type and best course of action to remove. Visit https://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/ABS/Pages/Bylaws-by-topic/Weeds.aspx for complete details of how to prevent and control weeds
• Deadhead: Do the plants need to be deadheaded or trimmed to encourage blooming?
• Trimming: Do the plants look overgrown?
• Overall Upkeep: Are all last season leaves raked, garbage picked up and yard is tidy and clean?
Calgary houses for rent has provided shed’s for storage of yard equipment. Remember the yard equipment itself is your responsibility for upkeep and replacement if necessary.
For shared yards review your shared responsibility agreement with your neighbours. It may be a good time to meet again and discuss what works best with schedules and area’s of use to help in working together in keeping your yard looking it’s best!
Please reach out to the office should you have any questions.

Waste Management Woes? Do you know what all can go in your green or blue cart? See link below for details on what goes where. I was shocked by a number of items I was throwing away instead. City of Calgary states that nearly half of all household waste in Calgary is being reduced, reused and recycled due to the city’s green cart program. Let's continue to support this program and reduce our waste being sent to the landfill!
