Job Title: Entry-Level Helper Labourer – Residential Renovations & Handyman Services

- Job Type: Part-Time / Casual (Flexible)
- Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)

About Us:

Praia Construction is a small residential renovation and handyman business serving homeowners in the Calgary area. Our work includes a wide range of projects such as minor home repairs, renovations, installations, and general maintenance. We pride ourselves on quality work, reliability, and treating customers' homes with care and respect.

Position Overview:

Praia Construction is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Helper Labourer to assist with residential renovation and handyman projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in construction and home improvement. You will work directly with the lead contractor helping with job setup, material handling, basic tasks, and learning different aspects of renovation work.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with general labour tasks on residential job sites
* Carry and organize tools, materials, and equipment
* Help with demolition, cleanup, and site preparation
* Support basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, fastening, and installation
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Load and unload materials and supplies
* Follow instructions and assist the lead contractor as needed

Requirements:

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform manual labour
* Reliable and punctual
* Basic hand tool familiarity is an asset but not required
* Valid driver’s license and transportation is an asset
* Ability to work respectfully in customers’ homes

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

* Previous construction or labour experience
* Experience with basic power tools
* Interest in carpentry, renovations, or skilled trades
