🏠🐕 Preparing your pets for a home move is essential to ensure their comfort and safety during the transition.

Here are some steps to help you get ready:

⏩️Schedule a visit to the vet to ensure your pet is in good health for the move. Update vaccinations, get necessary medications, and ask for advice if your furry friend gets anxious.

⏩️Ensure your new home is pet-friendly and secure so they can’t run away.
Check for nearby parks!

⏩️Ensure your pet's collar has an updated tag with your new address and contact information. Consider microchipping for added security.

⏩️If your pet will be traveling in a carrier, introduce it gradually before the move. Make it a comfortable and familiar space.

⏩️Pets can become anxious when they see their home being packed up. Gradually pack your belongings over time to reduce stress. Keep their favorite toys, blankets, and bedding accessible during the move. Familiar scents can comfort them.

⏩️On moving day, designate a safe, quiet room for your furry friend. This will reduce their stress and prevent them from getting underfoot.

⏩️Maintain your pet's daily routine as much as possible. This includes feeding, walking, and playtime. If possible, arrange for a trusted friend or pet sitter to look after your pet during the chaos of moving.

⏩️If you're moving to a new area, introduce your pet to the surroundings gradually. Take them on short walks to explore their new neighbourhood in advance if you can!

Summer Recap ☀️

No extravagant trips or holiday here but so many things to be grateful for this summer.

Our health, our family, days spent on the paddle boards with friends, rodeo with family, Calgary Stampede fireworks and ferris wheels, Sylvan Lake with the kids, short road trip to the mountains, floats on the Bow with a view of our great city, even our own yard with our dumb dog, we are blessed!

We love food. So much. We often talk about food. Dream about what we could eat and plan events and life around what we will eat.

The local business we are proud to highlight is Flores & Pine, located just west of the city on Bearspaw Road.

🌿Simply put, Flores & Pine is a beautiful, elevated casual restaurant which is mindful of sustainability and their guests experience.

Their dishes are creative but not strange, great portion sizes and fairly priced.

Whether you are stopping in after work, planning a date night or girls/guys night or planning a special event, Flores and Pine is in our opinion, one of the best spots in Calgary.

STAMPEDE EVENTS NOT TO MISS

The Calgary Stampede is here again ya’ll and there really is something for everyone to enjoy. This is a short list of some of our favourite stampede events.

1️⃣ I think by now you know we are dog lovers so this event comes in at number one:

🐶Check out the "Dog Bowl" presented by Voila daily at 12:30/3/5:30/8pm at the Community South Park

The most talented furry athletes and their trainers will show off their greatest agility tricks and talents. They never disappoint and you can see how much the dogs love every minute of it.

2️⃣Close second love would be wine so this “event” takes the number two spot on our list.

🍷Head to the "Wine Garden” in the lovely garden oasis in the BMO Centre and enjoy beautiful selections of wine paired with Canadian cheese, charcuterie, even pasta and paninis!

3️⃣ Bull Riding. I mean what is more “stampedey" than that? If rodeo is your thing, you can choose seats from a few dollars to $1000+ to watch these athletes perform and I can guarantee y’all be entertained and leave with a new level of respect for the athletes and the animals.

4️⃣ Lastly, it wouldn’t be Stampede unless you tried out the new Midway Food creations.

🌭This year I’ll be trying the MacDaddy Dog from Street Dogs & Smashed Burgers. I mean how can you go wrong turning a BigMac into a hotdog?

⏩️⏩️Question for a Realtor: "How do you get paid?”.

Have you ever wondered how a Realtor gets paid? From our experience, this is one of the top questions we receive.

The Buyer’s Agent’s commissions are paid by the seller 1-3 weeks after the transaction closes.

The money comes from the seller’s lawyer to our brokerage who then pays us.

We have worked with buyers for years that end up not buying and feel they owe us something for our time and effort, but that is just the way it goes sometimes.

Furthermore, we cannot accept any form of payment other than through our brokerage.

🤍We feel that if we’ve made a good connection and have a great relationship with our clients, that eventually it all comes around.

As a buyer you DO NOT pay commissions, so it’s always in your best interest to have your favourite Realtor representing you!
