That's what clarity did for Mohammad Ahsen and Customer Maps - knowing exactly who to sell to, how to acquire them, and having the right environment around him to move on both at once.

AI adoption is moving from individual experimentation to organizational capability.
Most organizations have started using AI in some form.
The bigger challenge is figuring out how to embed it across teams, workflows, and decision making in a way that actually improves how the organization operates.
How do you help teams adopt AI with confidence?
How do you redesign workflows around new capabilities?
At the next Tech Talent Tuesdays, we're bringing together two Calgary technology leaders approaching this challenge from different perspectives: the technology enabling AI-powered operations and the leadership required to make adoption successful.
What we'll explore:
🔹 Designing workflows where people and AI work together
🔹 Building a culture that supports responsible AI adoption
🔹 Lessons from organizations implementing AI in the real world
You'll hear from:
🔹 Clark Lai, CEO, Motiv.
Clark will introduce Opal, Motiv's newly launched enterprise agentic operations platform. He'll demonstrate how organizations can coordinate human teams and AI agents within shared workflows to improve ex*****on, scale operations, and maintain enterprise governance.
🔹 Steven Pilz, CEO, Alethea Medical
Steven has led technology transformation across multiple industries and now leads Alethea, a healthcare technology company focused on improving access to specialist care. He'll share what it takes to create an environment where AI adoption succeeds, including leadership, change management, and the organizational practices that help teams embrace AI with confidence.
Whether you're a founder, executive, manager, or professional thinking about how AI will reshape your organization, you'll leave with practical ideas for moving from experimentation toward meaningful organizational capability.

Tech Talent Tuesdays is presented in partnership with Platform Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, and Careers In Technology and Innovation (CITI), with support through Alberta's Labour Market Partnership program.
In this short clip, Platform Calgary's pre-Accelerator Cohort 1 founder Sarah Elder breaks down her biggest takeaways from the program.
Like many early-stage entrepreneurs, Sarah initially approached her idea as a small local initiative. But through continuous validation, feedback, and hands-on work, the program pushed her to see a bigger opportunity, shifting her strategy toward building a truly scalable, fundable start-up.
What Sarah learned in 8 weeks:
- Unlocking Founder Confidence: How early validation helped her believe in the true opportunity of scaling of her offer.
- The Strategic Shift: building an ex*****on-focused, high-growth model.
- Unexpected Pivots: Why diving back into product development provided the breakthrough insights her business needed.
- Real Work, Real Momentum: Leaving the program with actionable output to build on, long after graduation.
Ready to scale your start-up?
Platform Calgary’s Pre-Accelerator offers the dedicated focus, peer accountability, and tactical coaching that early-stage founders need to shift from juggling to scaling.

The Fall Platform Pre-Accelerator is 8 weeks, in person at Platform Innovation Centre, built for founders who've proven their product works — active customers, initial revenue — and are ready to build what's underneath it: a sharper go-to-market, a sales process you can repeat, a story that actually lands.
Past founders have walked out with their first corporate contracts, their first hires, their first five-figure recurring deals.

This week, Tech Talent Tuesdays hosted Process to Action: Mastering AI, featuring Hamid Baghi Co-Founder and CTO at Aimsio, and Matthew Mann, Lead Machine Learning Engineer at AbaData.
The session focused on a challenge many organizations are beginning to face: AI can dramatically increase how much work gets produced, but that does not automatically mean better outcomes. Matthew shared how iterative AI workflows can evaluate results, learn from evidence, and continuously improve.
Hamid showed how agentic coding increased his team’s development output so quickly that code review became the new bottleneck, forcing Aimsio to rethink how work is verified.
A few reflections from the evening:
🤖 AI should not just generate work. It should help evaluate it.
📈 Faster output only creates value when verification can scale with it. Otherwise, the bottleneck simply moves downstream.
🧠 Organizational judgment is an asset. Past decisions, feedback, standards, and institutional knowledge can help AI understand what good looks like in a specific business.
🎯 The goal is not to remove people from the process. It is to focus their attention where judgment matters most.
The biggest takeaway was that successful AI implementation is less about using the newest tools and more about designing better systems around them.
A huge thank you to Hamid and Matthew for sharing practical examples, and to everyone who joined us and contributed thoughtful questions.
Next up: Building an AI-Enabled Organization On August 18, Clark Lai, CEO of Motiv, and Steven Pilz , CEO of Alethea, will explore how organizations can make AI adoption successful.
