Congratulations to I & S married today! Sun came out and the blizzard stopped so all could be there for a beautiful intimate evening ceremony. Thank you for choosing me to share your day. Thank you to River Valley Wedding Venue for a beautiful setting.

So honored to marry this young couple. Connected to the land as a farmer, they chose to get married on their land with an amazing view. Quite the trek into the fields but beautiful once there. Congratulations and thankful that the weather held!

Today’s graveside service brought many thoughts as I drove home. There is so much to be said about rural life, filled with hardships, yet so strong, filled with love of both family, neighbors and the land.

It took place in a small community cemetery. Many of the family members took the time to visit the other gravesites of both family members and friends. The connections of this small community run deep. History stands the test of time here, and each gravestone marked the memories and lives that experienced them.

We held the interment and service for both spouses, though passing 5 years apart, they are now at peace together once again. As in life, they were inseparable. It spoke to me of the power in a marriage that didn’t cease after the death of one spouse. They were in this relationship for eternity, and that we could learn from.

It was an honor to tell a bit of both of their stories as individuals, and that of their life as a couple. So to their family, “I wish you enough” … enough memories to keep them in your hearts, enough stories to pass on to your children, enough love to carry you thru your sadness. They lived a great life - together.

Congratulations to Emily and Peter. Have known you since you were a wee one and it was my honor to marry you Emily to Peter. You both are an amazing young couple and wonderful
parents. The love the two of share it so refreshing to witness.

Congratulations to this beautiful couple Ashley and Nathan. Their ceremony was simple and filled with little surprises including a sweet message to the groom imbedded in the bride’s processional. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your day.

This weekend I was fortunate to marry a couple at Tin Roof Event Centre in Lacombe. Another beautiful space to celebrate your day.

It was a busy week with a wedding and a last minute celebration of life. My thoughts and prayers go out to the celebrant that fell ill and could not do the celebration ceremony. I am so grateful for the family who was very open, vulnerable and sharing so we could create a heartfelt ceremony to say goodbye to their husband, Dad, Grandpa. It was my honor.

Saturday I married an amazing young couple. They had to improvise due to the rain, but their heartfelt ceremony blew all the guests away despite the rain. Congratulations to Matteo and Kelsey!
