Thanks to .me for making me some custom flavored lip balm to hand out, and an even bigger thanks to my incredible coworker Morgan who slammed through all sticking all these labels on last night.

Have you heard about My Friend Dave?

My Friend Dave is a volunteer based outreach program doing incredibly meaningful work in our community. Their pop-ups are about so much more than handing out resources. They’re about connection. They create space to listen, to share, and to support people with dignity, compassion, and humanity. At the heart of their work is something incredibly important: treating marginalized members of our community like people first, making sure their voices are heard, and reminding them that they matter.

That’s what makes this project so special.

Together, we created these new outreach cards to support that work. Each card shares information about local support services, food resources, and other essential help, offering something practical that can be taken along, passed on, or kept close for when it’s needed most.

What makes them even more meaningful is that the artwork on the cards was created by members of the community My Friend Dave Project serves. That piece matters deeply, because it reflects the same spirit behind the project itself: inclusion, voice, and human connection.

Sometimes something as small as a card can open the door to support, conversation, and care. This is such a beautiful example of what can happen when community, compassion, and action come together in a real and tangible way.

Back in October, I donated a photo session to Menagerie Parties & Cakes for their annual Halloween fundraiser in support of Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS.

M & D bid on it, won it, and we finally got to cash it in on Valentine’s Day with a cozy winter session at Griffith Woods. 💛🌲

Thanks to people like M & D (and everyone who showed up and bid), Menagerie’s event raised over $4,000, with those funds going directly toward helping animals in need. 🐾

Honestly, it was such a fun way to spend Valentine’s Day, wandering the trees, laughing a ton, and getting to celebrate their love while supporting a cause that matters.

Throwing it back to this March 2025 styled shoot because it’s basically a love letter to bold colour, playful romance, and unapologetic vibes. ❤️‍🔥

And honestly… the world is kind of on fire, so why not? Life’s too short to play it safe with the stuff that’s supposed to feel joyful.

All squeezed between rotating night shifts, shift swaps/overtime, 4 flooding incidents and another full year of renos and restoration, and the chaos of listing our house.

To say it was a busy year would be an understatement — but it was also wildly rewarding, creative, and full of incredible people and unforgettable moments. From wedding day stationery suites to late-night edits and sunset photo shoots, I’ve poured my heart into every project.

Thank you — truly — to every client, collaborator, cheerleader, and friend who trusted Red Fox this year. You made this wild ride possible.

2026 is already shaping up to be a big one (and I’m crossing all my fingers for some very exciting news on the Red Fox / house front soon 🦊). Stay tuned, and thanks for being part of this journey.

Annual Christmas photos with Kerry and Kelly, but this year came with a whole lot of history. 🎄

We finally got to include Kelly’s restored International truck, a true family heirloom. His great-grandfather bought it new, and over the years (with a little help from family) it made its way from Manitoba to Alberta. About six years ago, Kelly started bringing it back to life.

We kept things simple – just a few blankets, winter light, and the four of them: Kerry, Kelly, and their two little boys. Kelly also shared some childhood photos of himself with the truck, along with shots from the restoration, so seeing his boys tucked in around it now felt like watching those old memories gently become part of their story too.
