Starting in June, Camosun College is launching a FULLY-FUNDED trades exploration program for anyone aged 17-29 and Indigenous people of all ages.

The Multi-Industry Trades Exploration and Employment (MITEE) program allows participants to sample several different trades and gain work experience in the process.

Today (April 28th) is the National Day of Mourning, a time to remember the workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or suffered an illness on the job.

138 BC workers died from a workplace injury or disease in 2025, so today is also an opportunity to renew our commitment to creating safer workplaces for tradespeople and beyond.

We had a great time at the Skills Canada BC provincials, watching skilled tradespeople from several industries compete in their crafts.

We also educated attendees on how TradeUpBC can help tradespeople find courses that can advance their careers.
