Meet Roxie ✨💛🤎

You’ve already met Moxie and fallen in love, so without further ado, allow us to introduce her sister, Roxie! ❤️ She’s basically the smooth-haired version of Moxie, with the same adorable short legs and fox-like face, but a little less fluff and a tiny bit more courage. 🥰

Roxie is still nervous around people and learning that humans can be pretty great, but she’s a step ahead of her sister in the bravery department. While Moxie hides under her bed when she’s unsure, Roxie prefers to stay out and keep an eye on things. 👀 She may not be ready to climb into your lap just yet (she needs a few minutes and might have some shakes), but her curiosity is definitely strong. 🥹

Put her outside with Moxie and her doggy friends, though? That nervous little girl starts to disappear! Roxie LOVES running around the yard, playing, exploring, chasing toys and, of course, TREATS! 😉 🧸🍦Some space, a little patience and something yummy will put you well on your way to becoming her friend. 🩷

Like her sister, Roxie needs a patient family who will let her build confidence at her own pace and show her that people can be safe, gentle and loving. She’s sweet. She’s silly. She’s curious. She’s short. And underneath those little nerves is a very happy girl just waiting to feel completely safe. ☺️

This is a bittersweet post and this is one step that we are taking to heal the wounds that were left on our hearts 💔🐾
We wanted to share this as a memorial to these two beautiful souls, Tuck and Skye that left this world too soon 💔😢
We know that all the big brothers and sisters are taking care of you on the other side of the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Run free little ones and know even though we are lost without you, your legacy lives on in your sister (Zuma) and (Ryder, Rubble) your big brothers♥️♥️♥️

Meet Otis ✨🖤

Otis has been with us for 363 days. On October 4, he’ll hit one full year in the shelter. He came to us as a 5-month-old kitten, and he’s now a 1-year-old (okay, 16-month-old) heartthrob who still hasn’t found his family. 😿 Sadly, black cats are often the ones who wait the longest to be adopted. 💔

Since it’s October, and he’s currently our only all-black cat, we needed to re-introduce you to Otis. 🐈‍⬛

We can’t say enough good things about Otis. He’s gentle, lovable, and playful. If you’ve ever had a black cat, you know how amazing they are! Give him a little attention and he’ll come trotting right over for some pets. And, with his sleek black coat and striking yellow eyes, he’s such a handsome boy. 😻💛🖤

Otis gets along well with other cats, especially his lovely “shelter-wife” and kennel-mate, Sora. ❤️ They cuddle together in their bed like an adorable married couple. 🛏️ We’re sure they wouldn’t find sharing a bed at your home, too! Two is better than one! 😽

Meet Moxie ✨🖤🤎💛

As you can probably already tell: Moxie is pretty darn cute. This fluffy little fox on Corgi legs arrived recently with her sister, Roxie, and we can’t get enough of them. 🥰

She’s still learning that people can be safe and kind, but for right now, she’s a pretty shy girl. 🖤 She really wants to be brave though! When things feel overwhelming, she burrows her way under her bed, her favourite place, where she tucks in, feels safe, and enjoys watching what’s going on around her. 🛏️

But, if you’re patient and quiet, her curiosity will kick in and she’ll come out to investigate; she may even sneak up for a little sniff. Every day, she’s getting a tiny bit braver. 🥹

Put her outside with her sister and other new dogger friends, though? You’ll see a completely different Moxie! She loves running around the yard, playing, exploring and just being a happy little dog. She’s also a BIG fan of treats and toys, which might just be the secret to winning her over. 😉 🧸🍦

Roxie is needing a patient, understanding family who won’t expect her to be their best friend overnight. Her trust might take a little longer to earn, but with space, time, and love, she’ll come out of her shell. There’s a happy, playful, loving little girl hiding behind all that shyness. On Friday September 25, our sweet little Ryder from The Paw Patrol trio went to his furever home ♥️
It was with tears of happiness that we said goodbye to this beautiful boy and his siblings agree that he is one lucky pooch! The three babes have gone through so much in their young lives and when they get to go home there is much to celebrate 🐾♥️♥️♥️♥️
