BHS would love to express heartfelt gratitude to Miss Waldner’s grade 3/4 class from J.R.Reid for sharing joyous moments with us at the shelter! We were thrilled to give you a tour and the cats and dogs adored every minute spent with you. The puppy yoga session on the patio with Auntie Chelsea Luna Muna Yoga, was an absolute delight that exceeded all expectations!
Thank you for all the donations and we are sure the cats and dogs can’t wait to get into them!

Huge thank you to everyone who took part in our putting challenge at the Fusion golf tournament. Thanks to our incredible golfers, we raised $510 with Fusion contributing $1000. We were proud to donate a total of $1510 to the Brandon Humane Society! 🐾🐶

✨Meet Uno 🖤🤍

When Uno first arrived at the shelter with her brother Solo, she was the quieter, more reserved one of the duo. Well… that Uno, along with Solo (😭), has officially left the building!

Uno has come way out of her shell and is now much more comfortable with people. She enjoys attention and going for walks. 🐕‍🦺 She’s also discovered her voice. So, if someone dares to go for a walk without her, she’ll absolutely let you know how unhappy she is. (Just a bit of a drama queen! 👑😂)

Uno has also been introduced to kids and handled it like a champ. She was a little hesitant at first, but after a quick sniff, she decided it was no big deal and went on about her business.

When it comes to other dogs, Uno loves playing with her friend group. You can expect to hear her voice during playtime, too; she’s not shy about expressing herself while having fun! 📣

Uno is beyond ready to keep growing with a family of her own. She’s experiencing some heavy FOMO without her brother around. 😢 If you’re looking for a dog with character, playful energy, a little dramatic flair, and a whole lot of heart, Uno might just be your girl. ✨Meet Heidi 🖤🤍

Heidi is a young and charming tuxedo girl who arrived with her sisters, Hayley and Heather. The “H Sisters” as they are lovingly referred to. 🥹❤️ With her big, expressive eyes that seem to notice everything, and her adorable pink nose, she’s impossible to miss and even harder to forget.

Of the three sisters, Heidi is the bravest.  She’s still cautious as she takes in new surroundings, but she’s always the first to step forward and check things out. Once she feels safe and comfortable with a person, her affectionate side shines through. She will happily soak up any and all gentle attention given. 🥹

Heidi also has a playful streak and will bat around wand toys and chase teaser toys. She’s fast and curious.

Heidi would do well in a home willing to give her lots of time to settle. We’re sure it won’t take too long for her affectionate, fun-loving nature to come out.
