MPLocates is looking for a hardworking Locate Assistant to join the team!

This is an outdoor, hands-on job working alongside a utility locator. You’ll be helping with:

Pounding stakes into the ground

Carrying equipment

Walking job sites and fields

Assisting with utility locating work

General field support

💪 Expect lots of walking and physical work.
🌦 Work is outdoors in all kinds of conditions.
🕡 Start time is typically 6:30 AM until the jobs are done for the day.

Requirements:

Must be 18+

Valid driver’s license required

H2S ticket required (we can help get you trained/certified)

Term is now till December.

Experience is a bonus, but reliability and willingness to work are more important.

If you like being outside instead of stuck behind a desk, this could be a great fit.

Start Time: 6:30 AM
End Time: When the job’s done (typically around 5:00 PM)

MPLocates is looking for a reliable and hardworking Locator Assistant to join our team for the busy locating season. This is a physically active, outdoor role—perfect for someone who isn’t afraid to get their boots dirty and enjoys working on the move.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist lead locators in daily tasks

Load and unload locating equipment

Clean and maintain the work truck

Carry and pound wood stakes (approx. 25 lbs each)

Walk long distances over various terrain throughout the day

Requirements:

Physically capable of lifting and walking for extended periods

Punctual and dependable

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

All safety gear and safety tickets will be provided

Employment Type: Seasonal (June–November)
Wage: Competitive, based on experience
