What a wonderful art workshop with the lovely ladies of Just Wanna Paint! 🌸✨
We created vibrant pieces inspired by hummingbirds, dragonflies, and flowers, all using the expressive techniques of Modern Batik Art.
It was refreshing to guide everyone through this creative process and see each unique piece come to life! 🎨✨

Creating a Big vision in a small space can be such a creative challenge! One I recently met whilst creating this Dragonfly artpiece!
My goal was to pack as much detail into this 8x8” fabric piece using Inking, the final step of the Batik process.
Inking can help bring everything together, giving more life and meaning to the artwork___🖊️
Inking is an optional part of the Batik fabric art process, some artpieces need it and some don’t, you decide!
What do think? Would you use Ink or leave the art more natural?

This is how I met Modern Batik over 10 years ago! I wanted to share this video about my art journey and how Batik really changed my life.
I am happy that I took the step to try something new back then. Hopefully this inspires a few of you to go after what you are passionate about and to continue learning and keep sharing.
