When people think of winter in Newfoundland they usually think...SNOW and lots of it. While many parts of Newfoundland get their fair share of snow, St.John's tends to be a bit more mild, so dress warmly and head out into the Winter Wonderland that is St.John's.
Just down the street from our property is Bannerman Park which is home to "The Loop" in the winter. The Loop is an outdoor ice-skating trail located in Bannerman Park. It operates from 10am-10pm daily when temperatures allow and is lit up beautifully at night.

There are also many other ways to enjoy the winter months in St. John's and the surrounding areas:

1. Go dashing through the snow at Lester Farm Chalet-A fun sleigh ride for the whole family.
2. Snowshoe the East Coast Trail
3. Sledding at Bowring park, Victoria Park
or Pippy Park
4. White Hills Resort - although not in the
city, take the drive to this popular ski
resort
5. Do the "Brew Bus tour" with McCarthy's
Party
6. Explore Terra Nova Park with
snowshoeing, cross country skiing and
ice fishing
7. Snowmobile along the T'Railway
Provincial Park - 900km of trail from
St.John's to Port aux Basques
8. Explore Downtown St. John's with all of
the wonderful restaurants, breweries
and shopping.
9. Quidi Vidi Lake Trail - take a winter walk
around lake on the 3.8km trail.

Our first review 🎉

There are 47 National Historic Sites designated in Newfoundland and Labrador.

One of the first, was Signal Hill. A 5 minute drive or a 30 min walk from our air bnb, you can make your way to the top, enjoy the beautiful views of the harbour and then learn the history of this amazing site.

Signal Hill overlooks the city of St.John’s. It’s strategic placement overlooking the narrows which is the only entrance into the harbour, made it the perfect area of defense for the province in the earlier years from pirates and in later years from enemy vessels. A must see location when you visit NFLD.

We made some changes to the 2nd unit this past weekend! Added an “official”second bedroom- no more futon. New dining table and a new backsplash.

We are very excited to launch Twenty Eight! Our short term rental company. Check out our first place in downtown St.John's, Newfoundland. We have 2 units for rent.
