Mata Rocks Resort is owned by a mother and daughter from New York and Connecticut. Gerri is the founder and managing partner of a Law Firm in NY and Taylor is an NYU grad who jumped head first into the hotel and tourism industry. Our Story
Owners: Terry Anderson & Liz Cechini
We fell in love with this island the first time we came, so nothing makes us happier than to see the same thing happen to our guests when they visit Mata Rocks.
We’ve owned the resort since 1995 and it’s still one of our favorite things to welcome people with different backgrounds and interests from all over the world. Many come back each year, some now with their children or friends they want to share the island with. This is the best reward of all.
