The 7 acre property has been in the Preston family for 3 Generations. Firstly, it was used by the Grandfather Daniel Silva Farias, as a temporarily farm.
Midas Belize is located near the Town of San Ignacio which is only a 7 minute walk from the town center, on a 7 acre Rainforest setting with private access to the Macal river, a perfect place for enjoying nature at its best, also known as a resting destination for most birds such as the Keel Billed Toucan. It was then passed on to his daughter Maria Preston in 1991, who built her house and 6 cabanas and called the Hotel/Resort MIDAS which is a combination name of her first son Michael and her father. The resort now has 2 Cottages, 2 Family Cottages, 2 King Cabanas, 8 Standard Cabanas, 12 Deluxe, and 1 Casita Verde.
