Our mission is to empower women of color around the world to bring their ideas to life, engineer dynamic solutions for sustainable development, and establish a legacy of change-makers who embody cultural diversity. Our team consists of women who are not only ethnically diverse, but also represent various fields of engineering. This diversity allows our team to add multiple perspectives and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.

Her groundbreaking work, β€œAdvancing Wastewater-Based Surveillance through Methods Optimization, Target Refinement, and Spatiotemporal Insights,” has earned her the well-deserved title of Dr. Green! πŸ‘πŸŽ“

NEXT: We’re thrilled to share our first co-authored paper with a Belizean scholar, Anthony Mai Jr. at BSWaMA! πŸŽ‰ The article, β€œLife cycle assessment of polylactic acid municipal waste disposal in Belize,” explores sustainable waste management practices in collaboration with BSWaMA and joins Environmental Research Letters: Focus on Innovation in Environmental Engineering for Community Engaged Research.

A huge congratulations to Hobbs Lab’s new PhD student, Maya El-Ajouz, for leading this work to publication πŸ‘ and to all co-authors for their brilliance and dedication!
