We are working on a project to support and encourage local Bhutanese women to ride mountain bikes, and hopefully groom some into professional bike guides who can lead our bike trips in the future. Looking for female Bhutanese tour guides/hobbyists who are interested in riding mountain bikes (beginners), or are bike enthusiasts who want to progress your trail-riding skills, but never had the right gear and opportunity to get there - this is for you. Do write to us for more details at [email protected]. Let's get some of our gals on the trails!

Bhutan, known throughout most of its history as ‘The Land of Medicinal Herbs’ is famous for its pristine and conserved natural environment and the awe-inspiring landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. Also one of the world’s top ten biodiversity hotspots, the constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan requires the country to maintain at least 60% of its land under forest coverage at all times. With dramatic landscapes surrounded by stunning mountains and many endangered species of flora and fauna, Bhutan is truly a nature lover’s paradise.

Greetings from the Madman trail. An ancient trail but very ideal for adventurous biking. The trail was natural and flowy. The 6 -km downhill to lumitsawa was pure joy and thrill✌️🙏

A short weekend ride to the Dhodeydra monastery which is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Thimphu city. It took us approximately 2 hours on a leisure pace hiking a bike uphill from the parking lot till the summit. The view of Thimphu was breathtakingly beautiful.

I was fascinated to see a small football ground and a volleyball court on the mountain top and to watch young monks playing football was an absolute joy and a treat to my eye and soul.

Riding downhill was as usual; pure thrill. ✌️
