On June 29, 2026, the Tarayana RTC Club formally presented a contribution of Nu. 4,606 to the Bhutan Kidney Foundation, raised through the "Ngultrum 1 for Life" initiative.

Tarayana RTC successfully concluded its Open Book Marathon, a community-driven initiative celebrating the spirit of knowledge sharing, with certificates awarded to the top three contributors from both the spring and autumn semesters, totaling six outstanding participants honored across the year. A total of 150 books were collected through both marathons. The club extends its deepest gratitude to all individuals whose generous contributions and unwavering support were instrumental to the initiative's success, and the collected books have since been distributed to various institutions to benefit a wider readership. With the completion of both seasonal marathons, the club reaffirms its ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of reading, collaboration, and collective learning throughout the academic year.

On June 6, 2026, Tarayana RTC members concluded their spring semester by holding a cleaning campaign at Cheri Base, followed by a picnic to bid a heartfelt farewell to the graduating core members. The day began with a dedicated cleanup drive, during which participants collected waste and helped preserve the natural beauty of the area. Afterward, the group gathered for a celebratory picnic filled with shared meals, reflections, and camaraderie, honoring the outgoing leaders for their dedication and service. The event thus served as both a meaningful environmental initiative and a warm, memorable send-off, marking the end of the semester on a note of community and gratitude.

The Tarayana RTC Club’s visit to Tango on 23rd May 2026 advanced the club’s motto of “Service Beyond Self” by transforming volunteer spirit into tangible community action. Through hands on renovation work and restoring the surrounding, the members embodied selfless service while strengthening ties with the local community. The effort not only accelerated the renovation before the monsoon season but also demonstrated that genuine impact comes from showing up, working together, and placing collective well-being above individual comfort. By contributing physical labour without expecting recognition or reward, the volunteers proved that even a single day of dedicated service can breathe life into the club’s core purpose of uplifting communities through quiet, meaningful action.

On Saturday, 11th April 2026, the Royal Thimphu College (RTC) Tarayana Club carried out its second activity of the semester through a field-based volunteer initiative at Dokhachu Goenpa (Ekajati Lhakhang) in Chapcha Gewog, Chukha Dzongkhag, with the active participation of 64 volunteers.

The visit was organized as part of the club’s ongoing effort to engage students in meaningful, service-oriented learning experiences beyond the classroom. During the program, members worked alongside local individuals to assist with tasks related to the site’s improvement, including handling construction materials and contributing to basic on-site labor. The activity emphasized teamwork, discipline, and a shared sense of responsibility in supporting community projects.

In addition to the work carried out, the setting provided an opportunity for members to better understand the importance of preserving religious and cultural spaces through collective action. A simple group meal was shared during the day, encouraging interaction and strengthening cooperation among participants.

On March 29, 2026, volunteers from Royal Thimphu College carried out a community service initiative at the Wangsisina Old Age Home. Members spent the day cleaning the premises, cutting grass, and weeding to help create a cleaner and more welcoming environment for the elderly residents.
