Transforming furniture into bold and colorful, one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

My latest reimagined furniture, an ornate wood carved antique table. I applied a textured decoupage method and enhanced the tiger image by brightening up with gold leaf paint and hand painting additional leaves. I finished by pouring several coats of resin so the top has a very high gloss protective finish. As I name all of my reimagined furniture this one is called ‘Gaze of the
Tiger’.

My latest piece of reimagined furniture, an old wood trunk, commissioned by a client who did not want anything too ornate. He left it up to me to ensure the colors would fit with his decor. The trunk needed some work before I could start reimagining and the client was over the moon with the end result!

My next furniture project. A beautiful antique wood carved rocking horse. I was so very excited to have found this little gem! ❤️

I spent the weekend working on my vintage step stool. With the exception of a few small finishing touches, it is just about finished. Inspired by my favorite London broadway show, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ and entitled ‘The Phantom and Christine’.

I spent this afternoon repairing my magnificent antique carved wood glass top lion tables. The head of one of the lions had a somewhat large hole along with the paw of one of the other lions. I filled in both head and the paw, carved in the lines to match the other heads and paws, repainted and added some gold leaf wax to match.

Second project was to repaint a lovely Asian vase stand which was scratched and the paint was faded. I repainted and then added some gold leaf paint to brighten up.

My reimagined vintage wood side buffet, “Jewel of the Atlantic, where Angels tread”, displayed in a new home setting. The deep turquoise, sea green and electric blue colors inspired by Bermuda’s beautiful ocean. Hand painted with chalk paint, gold leaf paint and enhanced with ornate Italian wood moulding, wood carved and composition historic cherub appliques and Louis XV appliques.

My reimagined mexican pine cabinet entitled ‘Southwestern Summer”. Heavily distressed with layers of fiery scarlet and teal chalk paint with reflections of the original bare pine wood color. The top sides of the cabinet have been framed with ornate wood picture moulding and old handles replaced with custom made jewelled handles.

My reimagined wood bench entitled “Summer Flamboyance” which adds a pop of color to the entry foyer. A unique, colorful, one of a kind two seater reimagined bench constructed of a combination of spruce and pine. Refinished with heavily distressed layers of vibrant fiery colours of scarlet, yellow, a touch of teal, and ivory chalk paint. Hand carved wood appliques and trim were applied and refinished with scarlet chalk paint and gold leaf. The bench was sealed with multiple layers of Annie Sloan wax which deepened the colors and gives the bench a beautiful protective sheen. Last photo shows original wood bench.

My first finished set of hand painted carved wood butterflies on wood bark to be used as an applique on a lovely wood side table. Nine more butterflies to go. The butterflies have been painted with bold bright metallic acrylic paint. The bark has been stained with wood stain and I then applied gold gilding wax. Second photo shows the carved wood butterflies and bark in bare wood form.
