💬 Did you know that adults who sleep less than 7 hours nightly have a higher risk of mood problems?

→ To improve your mood, you should sleep 7 or more hours per night.
→ You also should get regular exercise. Do aerobic activities like walking, swimming or jogging. Do other activities to strengthen your muscles. Regular exercise improves sleep.
→ Take a morning walk or go outside at lunchtime to enjoy the sunlight. When you are inside during the day, try to spend some time sitting by a window. Daylight helps set the timing of your body clock. It also provides a natural mood boost.

Lavender oil is a popular aromatherapy choice for sleep and relaxation. Studies show that using lavender oil for aromatherapy can improve sleep quality — including in people with insomnia, depression, and anxiety. 💤

According to Sleep Foundation:
→ Lavender essential oil calms the nervous system.
→ In students, exposure to lavender aroma at nighttime reduced sleepiness upon waking the following day.
→ Women between ages 45 and 55 experienced improved sleep quality after lavender aromatherapy

Lavender can be put on a pillow to be inhaled during the night or combined with other oils and used for massage, as it is easily absorbed by the skin. Combining lavender aromatherapy with sleep hygiene techniques improves sleep more than lavender alone.
