Every now and then I try to search for some new ways to edit my pictures and the last couple of weeks I did just that.
I've watched several tutorials on YouTube how other aviation photographers edit their pictures and last week I tried my best to implement some of the things I saw on those tutorials to a couple of my pictures.

Here are a couple of edited shots that I took from Dutch Rush during its display in a clear blue sky during the Athens Flying Week airshow.
With the editing technique I used, I tried to make the plane and smoke pop out more from the photo.

A golden Apache photographed just after a heavy downpour during the 2022 Sanicole Sunset Airshow.

A big crop from a picture that I took a number of years ago when 2 Kleine Brogel based F-16's were doing some BFM-work above their homebase.

An aircraft type that once was a regular participant at European airshows but is nowadays a very rare sight, the beautiful Hawker Hunter.
It's one of those planes that I really miss seeing on the airshow scene, it really was a treat both for the eyes and the ears.

This weekend the Sanicole International Airshow will take place.

Here's a throwback to 10 years ago when we had this awesome aircraft that officially kicked off the sunset airshow.
This was the last time and still remains one of the rare occassions that I've seen a B-1B in flight!

Dental care is important, otherwise you can end up with some nasty cavities.

Exactly one year ago, my girlfriend and I were enjoying the aircraft arriving at Radom for the airshow that was to be held that weekend.
It would be our first time attending an airshow in Poland, and during the day we already got a taste of the airshow through the rehearsal displays from a number of participants.

We had no idea that the final demo of the day would turn into something we never hoped to have to experience.

During sunset, we were enjoying the Polish F-16 Tiger demo team practicing their display over the field until we suddenly heard a bang and saw smoke rising from the airfield.
My stomach churned (and honestly, it still does now) when it became clear that the pilot had been unable to save himself with the ejection seat.
I will never forget the scene and all the reactions from all the people around us.
It's still eery how "quiet" it became even though there was so much going on...

I just realised that it has been a while since I last posted a picture from one of those beautiful French deltas, so let me quickly fix this.

Here's a shot from the French Air Force Mirage 2000D tactical display team "Couteau Delta" during their display at the 2017 Royal International Air Tattoo.

A much-missed sight on the European airshow circuit, the Swiss F-18 demo.
In my opinion, it was one of the most spectacular demos in Europe.
