Fire as an integral part of the architecture.

For this refined Parisian duplex by Aest.ethics studio , Metalfire created a bespoke Urban BEV® fireplace concept, integrating Planika FLA4 BEV® technology within a fully made-to-measure architectural composition.

Crafted from 10 mm steel, the fireplace is defined by its softly rounded corners and precise detailing. The deep black steel creates a strong contrast with the warm timber joinery, while the vertical ribbed interior adds texture and depth around the flame.

Designed specifically for the project, the Urban BEV® becomes part of the furniture and architecture rather than a standalone fireplace.

Nestled among the fields of Lier, Project Ham reflects the quiet, material-driven architecture of LO Architects, the studio of Laura Sainderichin.

Working from the inside out, LO Architectuur creates spaces shaped by intimacy, movement and a strong relationship between interior and exterior.

Natural, honest and classical materials are reinterpreted in a contemporary way, resulting in an architecture that feels both restrained and timeless.

For Project Ham, this approach is expressed through ecologically insulated walls and floors, finished in clay plaster and Argio, while the original wooden beams were carefully sandblasted and refinished to preserve the character of the existing house.

At the heart of the interior, a Metalfire bespoke Universal wood-burning fireplace was fully integrated into the new architectural composition. Custom-designed to become part of the space rather than a standalone object, the fireplace forms a strong yet understated focal point within the interior.

From welded steel to a complete Metalfire fireplace.

Once the fireplace has been welded, the work is far from finished.

At our production facility in Evergem, Belgium, every fireplace moves to our assembly department, where all individual components are carefully fitted, assembled and finished.

Every part has its place. Every connection matters. Every detail is checked.

This is where a collection of precisely manufactured components becomes a complete Metalfire fireplace — assembled entirely in-house by our skilled production team.

Metalfire Belgian manufacturer Metalfire designs highly customisable, premium wood-burning and gas fireplaces that blend in with the architecture of your home and project while simultaneously standing out in its interior.

Recent verwelkomden we de leerlingen van klas 5A Lassen-Constructie van Don Bosco Sint-Denijs-Westrem voor een dag werkplekleren in ons atelier in Evergem.

Van CNC-lasersnijden en plooibanken tot laswerk en poedercoating: elke leerling werkte actief mee op de werkvloer en raakte vertrouwd met de technieken die wij dagelijks inzetten om onze haarden te vervaardigen.

Werkplekleren werkt in twee richtingen. De leerlingen doen praktijkervaring op in een professionele productieomgeving. Wij ontmoeten de vakmensen van morgen.

Elke haard die Metalfire verlaat is volledig in eigen atelier vervaardigd, van eerste snede tot afwerking. Dat niveau van controle vraagt mensen die hun vak werkelijk beheersen.

SPH House, Sint-Martens-Latem

Decancq Vercruysse Architects approached this rare 1960s bungalow in the woods of Sint-Martens-Latem not as a property to erase, but as a piece of Belgian domestic modernism worth leaning into. The renovation became a reverse case study, drawing on the period’s own vocabulary and on references like Alvar Aalto’s Maison Louis Carré from 1963. Open plan, generous windows, natural wood, restrained geometry.

Among the modernist classics inside the house sits our Avenue closed gas fireplace. CE certified, EN 613 compliant, high efficiency closed combustion. A wide flame picture and quiet operation, integrated into the architecture rather than added to it.
