Second row start for BMW M Team WRT at the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship's Motul Petit Le Mans 🇺🇸

A closely-contested GTP qualifying session around Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta saw #24's Sheldon van der Linde clinch third position, with Marco Wittmann securing a top-10 for #25 who will take the start from P9.

The season finale is set to be a thrilling 10-hour battle, heading into the night around the iconic rollercoaster circuit.

Changing weather conditions resulted in a tough day for the Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO quartet at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

But it is only practice! Tomorrow is where it really matters, the first of two GT World Challenge Europe quali and race days!

Our LMDh crew are at Road Atlanta for the final round of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Coming off the back of their historic win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, BMW M Team WRT is aiming to end their season on a high.

Across the pond, our GT3 crews are at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the final GT World Sprint Cup round. We already wrapped up the Silver Class titles in Zandvoort with the #30 duo, but we still have the Overall Sprint crown to fight for with both #32 and #46.

It's going to be an action-packed thriller of a weekend!

TEAM WRT VICTORIOUS IN JAPAN 🏆🇯🇵

Darren Leung, Sean Gelael and Augusto Farfus took a stellar win at the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Fuji.

The trio fought from P14 on the grid, and battled through tricky conditions to take their #32 BMW M4 GT3 EVO over the line in P1 at 富士スピードウェイ.

Also visiting the podium was the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8 of Dries Vanthoor, Kevin Magnussen and Raffaele Marciello, who took a hard-fought P3, from 14th overall, to keep their 2026 title hopes alive.

#69's Anthony McIntosh, Parker Thompson and Dan Harper had a more difficult race in the LMGT3 class. At times, the crew led the field, but unfortunately the race did not go their way and they took the flag in P6.

René Rast, Robin Frijns and Sheldon van der Linde also didn't get the results they deserved. After battling through the field, contact from a rival and a subsequent puncture saw the #20 go a lap down and P13 was the best that they were able to score in Fuji.

There's no rest for the Team WRT crew, and they head back to America next week for the final round of the 2026 IMSA Championship!

Due to severe weather conditions, today's FIA WEC quali and hyperpole sessions were abandoned, leaving the grid for the 6 Hours of Fuji to be determined by a combination of all Free Practice times.

Tomorrow will be a tough challenge for our BMW M quartet, as they start from the lower end of the grid in both classes, but we know they have what it takes to fight their way to the front.

BMW M TEAM WRT MAKES HISTORY WITH MAIDEN IMSA VICTORY 🏆

#24's Dries Vanthoor and Sheldon van der Linde claimed a monumental victory at the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, securing BMW M Team WRT’s maiden IMSA win.

A stellar opening stint from Dries saw him fight off the GTP pack behind and hold P3 heading into the first pit stop. The #24 BMW M Hybrid V8 gained a position during the stop, with Sheldon emerging in P2 and immediately setting his sights on the win.

In the closing moments of the 2-hour, 40-minute race, Sheldon made an incredible move on the #31 Cadillac to take the lead and cross the line victorious at the Brickyard.

A huge congratulations to every member of BMW M Team WRT and everyone across the entire LMDh programme. This one is yours! 🏆
