Project: Regional Trade Marketing Office for a Multi national company.
Location: Khulshi, Chittagong
Project completion: September 2025
Project area: 10,724 sft
Film by Samial Bin Zaidi X

This is a carefully crafted interior space for the Chittagong Regional Trade Marketing Office of a reputed Multinational company in Khulshi Chittagong. We try to take care, give time and craft spaces with sincerity. The Project dismantles an aging, disconnected interior to reveal a workspace that breathes with the distinct energy of a city shaped by rolling hills and a bustling port. The design unfolds as a spatial narrative, where the "Hill" meets the "Harbor." The central atrium evokes regional topography, anchored by a water feature that references the Karnaphuli River, which flows into the Bay of Bengal. This element balances aesthetics with function. The fountain provides an evaporative cooling solution to heat gain from the curtain wall beyond it. Not only that, but it also humidifies the dry air recirculating within the office premises. Utilizing ambient sound to enhance the atmosphere and provide acoustic privacy. The vine-like rustic metal
sculpture pays homage to the ship-breaking heritage and relates the trade to the leaf office that is on the upper floor.
There are no false ceilings, but rather suspended ceiling panels, which act as indirect light sources and help prevent sound echoes. The office was built with the heritage of Chittagong in mind. The rustic metal represents the graveyard of ships that Chittagong is famous for. All the graffiti and line art on the wall celebrate the life and people of Chittagong. Stepping into the main workspace, the design mirrors the energetic spirit of Chittagong’s industrial heritage. Bright yellow accents stand out against calm
grey and blue tones, acting as a spontaneous guide that helps people navigate the office with ease. Above, the ceiling design creates a sense of movement, drawing inspiration from the city's rhythm while keeping the space quiet and focused.
Named the 'Colosseum,' the recreational zone connects directly to the city’s main industry: the port. A large mural of shipping containers, cranes, and vessels covers the walls, bringing the industrial landscape inside. Functionally, the space is designed for casual teamwork, mirroring the energy of the harbor by treating the exchange of ideas as important as the exchange of goods. The 'Argos' zone serves as the office’s bridge to the outside world, designed to feel like the deck of a ship. The design honors the region's ship building heritage through the use of materials traditionally found on ocean liners, like rich timber and brass accents. This connection creates a warm, welcoming environment where staffs can enjoy the daylight and city views, linking their daily work to the grand maritime history of the region. The design captures the true feeling of Chittagong, balancing the calm of the landscape with the vibrant pulse of the shipping industry. This space is not just a place to work, but rather it is a celebration of the city's heritage and its people.

Our minimal and contextual effort to build a Hangar as a foodcourt beside a runway at the Airforce museum for Bangladesh Airforce. We named it "The Hangar". We tried to create a small oasis within the museum. Today the hustle and bustle of the guests fills our hearts with happiness to able to contribute in a meaningful way.
