Bailey Retail Design

This is a recently completed job in Tin Can Bay that I did with Push Construction. It falls into the "unusual" category of jobs I sometimes do. The premises was a restaurant on the marina with a large deck. The deck had sun sails, but also needed lots of posts to support them, which in turn hindered the table arrangement possibilities. The overlap of the sails was also problematic in various weather conditions. The land lord asked for a solution which made the deck a more viable proposition for the tenant.
A few non load bearing poles were removed, existing poles extended with new SS sleeves and a light weight insulated roof panels were installed. The result was greater coverage, all weather and increased customer seating.

Pics from a recent house raise. This was a first for me and interesting to watch the process. Underneath has been fully excavated and the clients can now fit 2 cars under and a 3rd with off street parking. They have room for more living underneath.

Successful VM is all about keeping “your eye on the ball” and staying relevant with current seasons and events. Great job Politix!

Looking at these gorgeous houses, something that stands out is that Diane Keaton was not afraid of large scale items when decorating. And those are the key pieces that very often pull the design together. This story has many great hyperlinks with even more images of her beautiful homes.

Tonight was . A night full of food, drinks and amazing displays as the design industry showrooms on Arthur st Fortitude Valley put on their best.

What I refer to in the industry as “the bored husband chair”!

I’m quite selective about the home shows I watch, however Escape To The Chateau was always a favourite. Last night it was great to listen to the behind the scenes stories at tour at Qpac. I loved watching the tv show because Dick has fantastic methodology in how he approaches jobs. It’s a great example of how you assess and triage to achieve an overall grand result.

A city laneway filled with love- Guildford Lane Melbourne CBD. Whether it’s your destination or a serendipitous find, you won’t be disappointed. This laneway is filled with history and an interesting mix of arty stores- think gallery, edgy cafe, furniture maker and the likes, but overall shows the love that the occupants have for their special spot and how they’ve created their own city oasis.
