Our Installers had some fun getting up close and personal with the 🌴🌴🌴 at this job! We do anything for a precision install.

Our 525B Solar Pool Cover pairing nicely with the LP roller in South Turramurra, NSW.

As we move into the windier Winter months, we often get asked... can the cover blow off the pool?

For the cover to blow off the pool the wind needs to be able to get underneath it, causing it to lift up and blow across the pool.

To avoid this happening, ensure the cover is cut to shape and installed correctly. Check that the upturn isn't protruding above the top edge of the pool. If it is, trim the cover carefully until the upturn is the correct 75 – 100mm and does not go above the pool edge (Coping).

If there has been enough rain to significantly raise the pool water level resulting in the cover edge sitting above the coping of the pool. Reduce the amount of water in the pool with your waste water facility or remove the cover until the excess water has evaporated.

Ever looked up at the clouds and thought…

“Yep. That one looks like a pool cover retracting.”

No? Just us then 😅

Come behind-the-scenes with us on a recent hard slat cover install with the Narellan Pools Australia Wollondilly & Southern Highlands team. This fibreglass pool had a concrete pit constructed behind to house the hard cover, including a custom cut-away to make the system work.

Big credit to Scott (builder) for setting it up right from the start.

From there, the Daisy team handled the fit-out: mounting the underwater roller, ran cabling to the controller, installed the flush mount beam system, then floated and commissioned the cover so it runs seamlessly.

The Details
• Underwater pit-mounted roller
• Solar Golden polycarbonate slats (13m x 3.474m)
• Separate drop-in step + spa section
• 5-beam system: 3 stainless steel beams wider to suit the concrete pit plus 2 more narrower beams to cover the transition of pit to pool

Then it was over to the landscapers to lay the pavers directly over the flushmount beams for a smooth finish all round.

When choosing your pool cover setup your roller colour matters too. Our most popular rollers, the A75, ST and MKII are available in black, grey or white as standard.

So when you’re ordering, make sure you:
- Consider your pool area and surroundings
- Match your roller to your aesthetic
- Specify your colour at the time of order
