Welcome Logan Lilley 🦁

The SRFNC extend a warm welcome to Logan Lilley as he joins the Lions for 2027.

A full forward, Logan comes across from Warrnambool where he played a significant part in their reserves premiership this season, finishing as his club’s leading goalkicker and second in the league goalkicking.

Logan’s nous around goals will add plenty to our forward line, and we’re looking forward to seeing him send plenty through the big sticks at the Walter.

Welcome aboard Logan!

🦁 Welcome back, Sam Morgan! 🦁

We welcome past junior Sam Morgan back to the Den for 2027.

Sam played his U14 and U17 football at South Rovers before heading to Warrnambool to finish his junior football and begin his senior journey.

Sam has played senior football with Warrnambool and was part of their successful reserves premiership side this season.

Sam returns to the club with valuable Hampden senior experience and will be back in familiar colours in 2027.

We look forward to seeing Sam in action at the Walter next season.

🦁 WELCOME TO THE DEN, HUDSON & TOBY🦁

The club is delighted to secure these two talented youngsters for the Lions in 2027.

Hudson has become one of the competition’s best young talents in the Hampden League over the past two seasons with South Warrnambool. In his first season out of juniors this year, Hudson was selected as a Hampden League U23 representative and has already played 28 senior games for the Roosters after a standout junior career.

A young talent who has already made his mark at senior level.

Toby joins us from Warrnambool, fresh off a premiership with their reserves. Another young up and coming talent, Toby has also played senior football with the Blues and was part of their U18 premiership side in 2024.

We’re delighted to have both boys joining our squad at the Den and look forward to seeing what they can bring to the Lions.

🦁 WELCOME BACK 🦁

Great to welcome three past Lions back to South Rovers for 2027 with Josh Dyson, Fletcher Timms and Jack Dowd returning to the Den.

Josh played junior football with South Rovers before going on to Warrnambool Seahawks and most recently Port Fairy, where he has been playing in the ruck.

Fletcher also played plenty of junior football with the Lions before going on to senior football with North Warrnambool and Warrnambool.

Jack returns after senior football with Warrnambool and a stint with Merrivale, including a grand final appearance. Jack played all his juniors and already has 36 senior games at rovers.

Fletcher and Jack were both part of Warrnambool’s reserves premiership last weekend.

Welcome back boys. Looking forward to seeing you back at the Walter. 🦁
