Costume creation is not all fun. It’s stressful, time consuming, experimental, and costly. But the end result is so rewarding when it finally comes together!

It’s been a while since I posted last. I resigned from my job and started a new job so I’ve been learning new policies and procedures rather than sewing.
This weekend was marking drafts and mending dance costumes. I did make a little bit of creative time with Liquid Radiance. When it is dried I will show you the finished products.

Just when I think I am on track to have these costumes made ready for stage this afternoon, I realise I left a leg at their studio 🤦‍♀️ guess it was a sign I needed to add the brown underneath the gold 🤷‍♀️ almost there!

Sewing on the go today. Kids have workshops and rehearsals today and I have costumes, and uniforms to mend.

My heliography didn’t work out as planned so I used it as a background and use Liquid Lustres and Flat paints by Genesis Creations.
My kids think I should sell these. Would you buy them?

Didn’t get behind the sewing machine today—but made a solid start on organising! Spent the day cutting, laminating, cutting again, and hanging patterns to get my sewing space sorted before I begin my new job in two weeks. Feeling productive and one step closer! ✂️✨
