Very nice and balanced to play now. Low action and clean notes.

Do brand new guitars need a setup?
You'd hope not, but in reality it's usually a good idea.

Here's the before and after of a brand new guitar. It was nowhere near intonated properly.

Having a new guitar setup can also ensure the frets have the best chance of the longest life possible and play at it's peak right from the start!

Reach out if you have a brand new guitar. Prevention is better than a cure. If the guitar is great straight from the factory I'll also let you know that no work is required.

Tell tale signs your guitar may need a new nut.

String rattle, tuning issues, pinging, and breaking strings all night suggest the setting nut needs repair or replacement.

This "Blackie" came in for a refret. We went for medium jumbo frets instead of the narrow vintage style frets.

What a beautiful playing guitar. No wonder the original frets were so worn!

When a mobile phone makes contact with a guitar top the results are devastating. Poor Henry couldn't believe it.

I was able to stabilise and refinish the area. The discolouration happened because the original finish and sealant chipped away when the guitar was damaged.

Henry was very pleased with the outcome.

This P bass came in for a pre sale setup.

It's a beautiful bass that feels and sounds exactly like a P bass should.

A bass of the pointy persuasion came in for a pre tour service.

Whilst working on it, I noticed the Fingerboard had separated from the neck near the nut.

Glued and reset the Fingerboard.
