Having lived in Victoria all my life, I had no idea what they were until a friend brought some in.
They look like a pine cone only 10 times bigger.
The nut inside is so versatile and delicious.
Pop in and share the way you cook them -I’m only just learning.
So facinating. 😋
PS: For those of us who have never seen them before, I have placed an apple next to the Bunya cone to get an idea of the size.👍🏼
