Looking ahead to 2027… 🌱

We’re excited about the year ahead and all the learning, growing and exploring that will happen in our Kindergarten room! 💛

Our Kindy room welcomes children as they develop at their own pace, with both 3- and 4-year-olds learning and growing together in a supportive, play-based environment.

We’re lucky to have two passionate Early Childhood Teachers who will be supporting our Kindy children in 2027.

Meet Apeksha - Apeksha is Graduate Diploma qualified and is currently studying her Master’s, continuing to grow her knowledge and passion for early childhood education.

Meet Gurminder - Gurminder is almost finished her Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five) and brings a wonderful enthusiasm for creating meaningful learning experiences for children.

Having two teachers means our Kindergarten Program can be offered across all five days of the week, creating opportunities for children to learn, explore, build friendships and develop those important skills for their next big step. 🌿✨

🌟 Toowoomba Early Childhood Awards

Over the weekend, our wonderful team had the pleasure of attending the Toowoomba Early Childhood Awards for our third year in attendance! 💛

We were incredibly proud to be nominated for three awards:

🏆 Make a Difference
🏆 Kindergarten

While we didn’t take home an award this year, we were thrilled to be named a finalist in the Birth to 2 category — a wonderful recognition of our dedicated Nursery Room team and the incredible work they do each and every day. 🥰

A huge congratulations to our amazing educators and team members. Your passion, dedication and commitment to providing meaningful experiences and nurturing relationships for our children truly shines through. 💕

We would also like to extend our congratulations to all of the incredible educators, teams and centres recognised on the night. Well done to everyone! 👏✨

Beyond Book Week: While Book Week may be over, our commitment to fostering a love of reading should continue every day. Every Conversation Matters and when we read, we unpack biases and explore the inner worlds of child... Allowing us to Shift Conversation to Action... This week as you are reading to your child: Use this time to ask them how their favourite books make them feel safe.

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.
